Triggers
Has anyone else had this problem? After a while of intensive play on your DS, it seems your triggers begin to stop working. My triggers have been out of commission for a while now, and I know a fair number of people who have one or both triggers failing.
Anyways, I finally fixed mine today. Mainly my reason for posting this was to see if anyone was having this problem and interested in knowing how to fix it. |

I'll make a tutorial eventually. But anyone who does it must know (and I will haev a disclaimer on the tutorial) that taking apart your DS does void your warranty. So don't do it until after your warranty expires.
It basically involves a lot of unscrewing, including a few hidden screws, and then making the pressure sensor slightly taller so that your trigger can hit it properly. |

Two people I do robotics with also have broken triggers...one is on a DS Lite, he's gentle, and it's probably because of all the Resident Evil...the other one barely ever touches his DS, and when he does it's to play something like Mario Kart. I know about 8 other people in person with broken triggers, but I don't know what they were doing with their DS's Lol, you don't even need a triwing screwdriver. Those mini-screwdriver kits come with tiny flatheads; I unscrewed all my screws with one of those. |

Yeah, should work just fine. Lol, my triggers are starting to become a little harsh. Think I might mold some custom ones out of plastic and stick them in there; heck, I could adjust the thing on the trigger itself that hits the pressure sensor, make it a little longer, and take the pressure sensor add-on that's currently sitting there off. *starts dreaming of custom triggers* ![]() |
