Member linkon64 told me before the tournament that he did not have access to online and would try to be able to play the tournament but he cant so I will be replacing him in the tournament.

Because agrivian3 is silly for not checking his net first before joining and bball being removed from the tournament because of ;ack of communication I have had to make some major changes to the tournament.

I will not be playing in the tournament any more but will be going back to the original plan as the brick wall the finalist must pass to earn the championship. And so it will be rokrin VS deadpool in the semi finals. The loser of this round will be the forth player in the elimination round.

Because we have to wait for the round 2 loser to start the elimination round there is no hurry but MEGAMAN and mwhp feel free to get your battle out of the way and done A.S.A.P.

You have until the end of the 23rd to complete your battles.

I lost. The battle went like this.

He startred with some thing (cant remember its name).

I sent out Gyarados.

He switched to a different thing.

I used Dragon Rage.

He did something... I forgot what.

I attacked. He got below half health.

He confused me.

I hurt myself in my confusion. (odds are 1 in 2)

He recovered all his health.

I hurt myself in my confusion. (odds are 1 in 4)

He hit me.

I hurt myself in my confusion. (odds are now 1 in 8)

He poisoned me.

I hit him, then died of poison.

I switched to gengar.

I put him to sleep.

I used Dark Pulse.

I used Dream Eater.

He woke up and confused me.

I used Dark Pulse.

He hit me.

I hurt myself in my confusion. (now its 1 in 16)

He hit me.

I hurt myself in my confusion. (1 in 34)

He hit me again.

I hurt myself in my confusion. (1 in 64)

Gengar feinted.

I forfeit. I have been in werid battles before, but dang, there's a limit.

you are wrong about those odds....every time is still 1:2...it does not increase. Every turn there is a 50% chance u will be hit from confusion.

I was not looking at compounding odds, but the odds it would happen that time in a row.

For example, if I attack 5 times in confusion, the odds that I will hurt myself any 1 time is 1 out of 2, but you multiply the fractions together to get the odds that it will happen EVERY time. In this case, it is one half to the seventh power, or 1/64. Because, if with Gyarados or Gengar I had gotten even one more move than I did, that battle would have happened very differently.

thats the odds in TOTAL not the odds that round. so every round it was still 1:2....it was never 1/64 or 1/34...it was 1/64 to get ALL hits but the last move was still 50% chance....get me?

No, see he understands that. He was just showing what rubbish luck he had.

He is right though, I remember learning this 4 years ago. The odds of him hurting himself in confusion may be 1/2 (hurt himself or not), but the odds of him hurting himself twice in a row are 1/4 even though the second time still has an individual chance of 1/2. Because between two turns, he can go either...
