alrighty, here's the deal. sounds like your network isn't secure yet. that is, you don't have a wep to enter, because you haven't created a wep for your network/router! SO...

enter 192.168.1.1 into your url (or address bar). this should take you to your router's control panel. since you probably haven't done anything in the control panel yet, the default user name and password is "admin" and "admin". go to configuration, WLAN (from the menu on the left). at the top it will show you your wireless SSID (which is the name that will show up on your ds when you let it search for a wireless signal). a few lines below that it says "WEP Encryption", turn that on. then enter some text into the field that precedes the "generate" button. hit the generate button. write down your generated wep key (which will display in the "WEP Key 1" field). go to the bottom of the page and hit apply.

phew! that should have you set up. so now when you let your ds search for a wireless signal, chose the one that has the same name as you saw was the name for your router's SSID, and enter in that new password you just wrote down.

hope this helps!

(feel free to distribute some rep if it does feel free to pm me with more questions you might have)
