USB not recognized

I have the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector and I wanted to connect to the internet with my WII. My friend did it with his in London so I know you can do it.
My internet stopped working and so when I tried connecting it kept saying internet connection failed but the USB Connecor was working. I waited till my internet was fixed and was so excited to go on the internet. Then when I put my USB connector in my computer says theres a malfunction with it and Microsft doesn't recognize it. WTF? It worked yesterday. I didn't touch it since yesterday so it couldn't have fallen or anything. PLZ HELP!!!!

umm i think you may have to install the drivers. go online and search for nintendo WI-Fi drivers or find the CD it came with

I put the cd in but half way it says to insert the USB thingie and then to wait but it doesn't know its there so I just wait forever...

Are you sure your usb port works? Try it with something else.

Yeah it works fine with my printer and mp3 player...

It's either broken or defective from what you've been saying about it.
Try to get it replaced.

But it was working fine yesterday and if its my computer (which is kinda crappy) then I would have wasted money.

Perhaps a firewall is blocking your wireless connection then?

Try looking up it's settings and try to see if something's blocking it.
