Wii Connectivity

I recently bought the USB connector, and it's working perfect.

However, I've noticed somethings that bugging me.

In order to receive messages, I have to be connected to something such as Forecast or News.

In other words, I can't be on the Wii menu and receive messages.

Is there any way to change this, to where I'm always connected?

yeh you need to turn on your WII CONNECT 24

go to the wii options
wii settings
scroll right untill you see wiiconnect24 and click it
click wiiconnect24 in the next menu
turn it on

if it is already on i dont know what the problem is

How much are the USB connectors mate I might need one for my wii for x-mas?

wifi... i dno about wifi but i know bluetooth ones are real cheap
i used to have one for my phone (i also heard you can use the wiimote as a mouse with a blutooth adapter lol)

oh is your modem/router wireless?
cause if it is there is no need for a adapter
im using sky wireless modem/router for my wii and ds

I have partitions on my computer and when i sign off my partion it leaves on and active so that all i do is type in my password and nothing is changed. Now if i loged off my partion but someone (my parents) log in on there partition would my Wi-Fi still work if it was still pluged in? Whould the switching knock the Wi-Fi connection out?

A partition is a portion of the computer kinda like a one computer network

Ok in school there are many computers so each student has there own password and username
When they log in they have accesed there "portion" of the computer with all there saved stuff

A patittion on my computer means i have my files and setting saved so that i am the only one who can access them , also my parents have a partition and my brother so that each time one of use log in on our partition it is unique to our preference
