i believe ive told some of you this before but today ive decided out of sheer bordem to write it down. this is an idea ive been kicking around since i beat Zelda TP back in December of 2006. please read it and tell em what you think.
like most all Zelda games you will wake up in your house as a elf. age 9 or 10. you will wake up to the sound of your parents being kidnapped. as you run outside you see a bunch of masked men in all black riding off with your parents all bound up on a few horses. a few adults run out to look for them but you arent allowed out of the village. (koroki village) so later that day you are called upon the war council of elders, they give you a fairy and a sword and tell you they feel bad for your parents and they wish to train you and let you out of the village to let you hunt down the thieves. first they make you pass test #1, Deku tree. ....sounds like the same ol zelda eh? after you ebat the tree you go out in pursuit of the bandits, but just moments after leaving the village you are confronted by a zora chief to come and help them free there princess. after you do this and beat the zora temple then you go again to try and find the bandits, but just moments after this the goron war lord ask for help from you to slay a monster that has been living in there town and killing there citizens. so you ebat the goron temple and finaly are able to go to hyrule where you believe the bandits are (i would make you side track to different towns though for filler quest but the bandits are in hyrule. in the battle with them they break your sword and run away, you find your mom has been killed by falling off of the horse and being ran over by another horse. you are enraged and run to the back of the temple of time where you draw the master sword and hop on your horse and go after them. as you run out of the castle and into the field you see only 1 thing, rocks being rolled down hill into the river and catapults bombs being shot into the mountain. here is where it gets interesting. EDIT i forgot to mention when you draw the master sword you turn into a 20 year old. as older link you are stronger, as young link you are faster, you cna change as boy and adult through out the game there is a goron and zora child in the field fighting one another with bare fist (there like 6 years old) you talk to them and have to make a choice, help the gorons or the zoras. which ever side you help the entire elf village will help and the hyrule army will help the opposing side. from here the game is all about a huge war over land. the gorons and zoras hate eachother. the gorons poison the zora temple water and the zoras capture and kill the goron prince. you help which ever side you want win the war and do some quest for them. however at the end of it there is peace and agreement and all that fun stuff after war. this game will offer replay value because if you choose one side you can play again as the other side and get new quest and stuff. thoughts, advice, etc post below! ![]() Last edited by Koopa_Kid; 07-03-2009 at 11:27 AM. |

I think I would make it with a more fluid and complex combat system (ie Motion Plus). It would still retain all the classic adventure elements and "Zelda" feel to the story but would also incorporate RPG elements with Link leveling up and getting stronger. The story would progress with Link aging naturally (from about 10-18). CGI cut scenes would illustrate pivotal moments in the story.

I imagine advanced swordfighting techniques like parrying, disarming, assassinations, etc., much like Wind Waker but on a higher scale.
I also like the idea of a level system much like Zelda II and the ability to use set spells. As for story, I'd like to see the monarchy corrupted for 100 years or so by Ganondorf and his followers, and a boy born from the peasantry (Link) attempts to usurp the dictatorship. I guess you can see how living in a world where any attempts at revolution are quenched would fuel the need for Link to be able to backstab someone. If you also notice, my theory has no need for a sword since Link is far more stealthy and it might actually happen. ![]() |
