Wiispace Guitar Hero III Tournament

hey everyone. i thought i would like to announce that i would like to start a guitar hero III tournament.

i know smash bros is about to come out and all that, but for those who are interested in winning a VC game on me, i thought you might be interested. if this doesnt get a lot of entrants, just close the thread in about 3 days, and if we do get a good amount, (im lookin for more then 8 for sure), then sticky the thread whenever it shows a lot of entrants.

The Tournament rules are simple:

Mode: Pro Face-off

Difficutly: Expert

Match: First round, Best of Three, Next Rounds, Best of Five, Championship : Best of Seven.

Elimination: Play-offs. You will be matched randomly, and if you get beat, youre out. No double elimination...thats what the Set amount of songs are for

Prize: VC game of your choosing. I'll consider a VC game for the runner-up...ill let you know when i come to a decision...more then likely, if i DO decide to have a runner-up prize, it will be a VC game for ONLY 500 points...meaning an NES game.

I'd be up for it in a few months, I just got GH3 and am only just now starting to play songs on hard.

I'll play,but I still can't beat Tier 8 on expert :P. So I'll be on crack overstrumming ^^.If you choose one of those songs that is.

sorry guys, its a pro-faceoff for expert tourney...no rule changes.

as far as songs go, any song goes. however, you cant pick the same song twice. for example, if you pick helicopter and pwn the dude buy 20k points, and then he beats you on the next song, and it comes to sudden death, you cant pick the same song again.

How long did it take you to get your disc back? I just mailed my old one in saturday.

Update on the tournament and situation:

Since Brawl is coming out in 2 days, i figured i would delay the tournament since thats what most of us are going to be busy with. The GH3 Tournament will begin Saturday, March 29th. Registration ends on the 28th, so if you want in this, be sure to register right away.

If i dont have 8+ entrants, the tourney will be held off until a later time, or cancelled altogether. Remember, this isnt just to be crowned Wiispace GH3 Expert Champion, prizes are also involved.

The rules, once again, are as follows:

Mode: Pro Face-off

Difficulty: Expert

Elimination: Play-off Style. You will be matched randomly via me drawing your names out of a hat. The first round will be Best of Three. Think of these rounds as "qualifying rounds'". The next rounds after the first, will be Best of Five. In other words, ALL matches up to the championship will be Best of Five. The Championship game will be Best of 7. If you lose one match, you are eliminated. PLEASE NOTE: By one match, i dont mean if you lose one song, youre out. i mean if youre opponent , for example, beats you 2 songs to 1 in the first round Best of 3, then you are eliminated, and the winner moves on.


I have decided the prizes.

First place : Virtual Console game of their choice, regardless how many points.

Runner-up: Virtual Console game of their choice, less then or equal to 800 points.


Also, i am in the works of talking to young link to create a signature lil thing, such as "a forum trophy" for champion of the tournament, so everyone will know that you represent the Wiispace Guitar Hero community, and that we like to compete!
