AA batteries (x2). good news is they're supposed to last 30-40 hours on a set. go to costco and by the 48-pack of AA batteries for $15, should last you a couple of years.

30 hours when using the pointer and motion controls (FPS's), 60 hours using just motion (car games)

Any wireless router. It has WiFi that they programed to receive any wireless signal.
