No, you can't save it directly to the Wii, but that's actually a good thing. If you've downloaded a bunch of Virtual Console games or you have a bunch of save files from certain Wii games (like Elebits), you'd know that they start to fill up quite a bit of space on the internal save. You don't currently have the option to directly save your Wii game saves onto an exteral save card (You have to go through the extra step to enter a submenu and copy the save files to an SD card.).

With GC you can stock up on memory cards to gather as much save space as you need, without losing anything (Granted, organization can be a bear, when some of the GC files can't be copied.).

Hey guys I'm new here but I found this questions thread and really needed to ask something. I recently encountered the error message that says: " Error Ocurred. Press the Eject button and remove the disc. Turn off the power and folow the instructions in the console manual " the thing is my wii can still read and operate with gamecube games but as soon as it recognizes my Wii games (I only have Wii Play and Wii Sports) the message appears. I wanted to ask if what do you think this might mean and if this could be a simple configuration error or a Hardware problem, basically if I can fix it by myself or do I have to take it somewhere, because I don't live in USA and bought the Wii there so it's kind of hard for me to claim the guarantee.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated and I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I just couldn't read all of the 73 pages . Thanks again!
