Wii Internet Channel....worth the points?

The other day when I was looking for more games to download, I noticed the Wii Internet Channel is available.

Has anyone here downloaded the channel? Is it worth it? Sometimes I hate logging into my laptop and this kind of reminds me of the capabilities of Webtv. Speaking of Webtv, I know with Wii you can attach a keyboard, but can you use a wireless keyboard?

yrep you can use a wireless keyboard, almost any keyboard works. the internet channel is real good that's a musthave for sure! you use your tv to surf the net, that's cool!!

Yup, I highly recommend getting the Internet Channel. Sometimes I just don't feel like getting up and going to my computer when I see something on TV that i feel like quickly researching, whether it be something I seen on X-Play or the news... or sometimes a good gamefaq if I'm having issues with a game.

i got the internet channel for free its not that bad if you know youre gona use it then i would get it

its good if your parents are able to hear your computer after they tell you to go to bed...
You can use it and the wii makes little to no noise

i wish that i could have gotten it for free when it was first released... oh well, i'll just go get a wii point card and download it

Internet channel for the wii is actually to my surprise pretty useful. You can use it to see youtube videos (a personnal favorite of mine since you can see them on a big screen). Or you could use it to do research and the new version has keyboard compatibility all for the price of 500 wii points. Heck I even sometimes use it for surfing wiispace.

im trying to get some decent anime to stream from my computer to my wii using the internet channel. Ive tested out 2 programs ORB and TVERSITY and they both had good and bad qualities about them. ORB was the better of the 2 and was the easiest to set up and use. Quality was decent. I could read all the subs just fine unlike some youtube ones and the fps is so so but the audio is great. TVERSITY had a lot more options to tweak around and i was able to get a DVD quality image to stream to my wii but the fps would stagger and slightly freeze and the audio would freeze with the video making the veiwing expierince terrible. Ive tryd tweaking everything in TVersity to but i couldnt get results that were better then ORB.

Internet channel is great tho and it will be even better once i can stream DVD quality anime through it =3
