Anyone else feeling bad about their wii???

long post, but please read it all and tell me what you think...!!



hey guys, just want to know if anyone else if feeling bad about their wii? i mean i loved it, never had a nintendo console before, only playstations, and i love it, i love the originality, i love the friendliness, i love the fact there's always something humoress to do on it, even in the menu! def more fun in that aspect then ps3 or xbox360, that just bore me, same games, new graphics, repetitive, all shooters and driving games etc... they are so boring...

BUT at the same time, i'm disapointed in my wii, i just feel like at times why couldn't nintendo just make the f**k'n wii's as powerful as say an xbox 360, so even the laziest of dev's would put some decent graphics on there games, and that way other fan boys wouldn't be able to mock us wii owners so much...

playing unreal 3, or resistance fall of man, of GTA 4 etc on my mate's ps3, and i just think ok GTA4 looks coolio, but it's same as it ever was before... unreal3 looks awesome!!! i mean the graphics are AWESOME! and drake's fortune! that game's pretty cool! really pretty, and playing a indiana jone's-esqe character always helps as well!!!

playing Fall of man against my mate on multiplayer just reminded me of all the fun me and him used to have playing against each other and like 15 bots on time splitters 3, it was a laugh, it was funny, it was fast, it was action packed, it was tense, competitive, and just plain fun!!!

now i know us wii owners have some amazing games, that the ps3 and xbox 360 will never be able to touch or beat, e.g. smash, galaxy, prime (maybe bioshock beats it dunno never played it, will never beat controls tho!!!)))
mario kart (even tho not played smash or kart!!!))), these games are original and fun....


but why can't we wii owners have something like team fortress? or time splitters? or resistence fall of man? the wii is technically capable of it? lazy devs are a pain in the ass! lazy devs and shovel ware are going to be the death of the wii and i'm terrified of it, cos it means my console will be a brick in 2 years!

i am begging for team fortress... i'm begging for a decent multiplayer shooter i can play to shut other fanboys up! so i don't feel almost embarrassed for owning a wiil because there's no half decent multiplayer shooters on it!! and i can't wait til call of duty 5, and i can't wait til the conduit either, i want a decent FPS multiplayer now god-damn'!

my wii is special because of brawl not working and i kept pressing the reset button and it worked me and my friend was shocked especially me because i screamed like a girl. i was like wtf?

Why don't you tease them for not having a wii. Where I'm at the wii is the most popular, and anyone bragging about their ps3 or 360 is just ignored completely. I remember when the rumor of a new nintendo consol hit my school, everyone went crazy.

as i said on another thread, the wii is just different to the rest so even if you have a ps3 or xbox360 you will still want a wii because it's just a different kind of gameplay. i'm thinking of getting a ps3 too i am not an xbox fan

It's always been that way, you have to be smart in which games you choose to buy. This is nothing new, just go look at the list of NES games that were made. M.C. Kids LOL WTF? Anyways, along with the crap theres also jems. Any previous Nintendo owner knows this and usual knows what games are true hits and which one's don't even deserve to be rented. With all the online resources we have today to get a good review on a game why would anyone wind up buying a piece of crap game is beyond me. The only reason these games are around though is b/c their are some stupid parrents out there that think their children are going to enjjoy the game with the cute little characters on the cover Sorry to vent but just need to you know?

One of the major issues facing Nintendo now is that they've sold their consoles to hundreds of thousands of people who are in it for the casual games. My grandparents bought one (Well...to be fair they've bought every Nintendo console so their grandkids can play it when they visit), and all they own for it is Wii Sports. Its all they want, nothing more. The developers realize, "Hey, the major gaming group, (i.e. the 15-30yr olds males), all probably own a PS3 and/or an XBOX360 already, why should we buy a new dev team, add new training for Wii development and sales, when we can already sell for the two major consoles our demographic plays on? Plus, with all our Multiplayer games coming out, why throttle our poor players with Nintendo's Friend Code issues and let them have games online unrestricted?"

I'd think that development teams for major companies will do one of two things. Either they all sit around and continue develop for PS3 and XBOX, then hope that Nintendo fades into obscurity from the major gaming crowd because it does not produce enough AAA titles. Or someone actually attempts to get their feet wet, produce a high quality AAA for the Wii and see what happens to it. From the 2nd there are two things that can happen, either A. Worst fears show and the AAA titles doesn't sell, thus causing all developers to shun the system for eternity. or B. The Title sells well, and more developers actually attempt to make a AAA game for the system. From the looks of things though, it seems that most developers are inclined to sit around and wait for Nintendo to shoot themselves in the foot rather then attempt to make a game.

Yes, I feel a bit bad for the Wii. I doesn't stop me from enjoying the Nintendo Franchises like Metroid, Zelda, and Mario, which is pretty much the only reason I bought it anyway.

Of course I"ll always own the newest Nintendo console because I love the familiar franchises of Zelda, Mario, and others, but at the same time I do feel a little bad about the Wii. To be honest, I still haven't seen a game that tops a GC game. I just bought Super Smash Bros. Brawl about an hour and a half ago, I played it for an hour and it does look pretty cool... It definitely tops the GC smash bros at least.

I would love a decent fps with decent online... But I just couldn't imagine friend codes with the really cool stuff like CO5 or anything... it just doesn't seem to go with the tone of the game. Thus far I think most friend codes have been with Nintendo-like games. I couldn't really see myself asking for anyone's Co5 friend code if it had online features. It would seem odd coming out of my mouth.

If you ask me the only thing i don't like about the wii is it's horrid online mode. Other than that I really enjoy it. I don't like to compare apples and oranges cuz comparing the wii to the PS3 or 360 isn't really accurate cuz even though they are all current gen systems they have different aims.

that's true about the apples and oranges, but the first thing i thought when i saw the wii trailers back all those years ago was.... first person shooter would kick some serious ass on the nintendo, f**k me, something like time splitters would be so much fun...!!!

has anyone seen that new game madworld coming out for the wii? it looks ACE! imagine something like that as a FPS, and you'd have the best game of all time.... think about it....!! an FPS with an artistic direction like that would rule! or something like team fortress 2!!!

also does anyone remember Black on the PS2 and xbox? it was an awesome game, the graphics were awesome, the gameplay was manic and fun, stuff was blowing up everywhere, was awesome, now if they can do that on the xbox, and ps2 all those 3 or so years ago??? why the HELL can't we have something as good as that on the wii now? doesn't make any sense to me at all! developers are being so frickin' lazy!!!!!! give me even a black port on the wii, and i'd be happy as anything, it's got enough power to bump the graphics up a bit from ps2 version, and even enough room to add an half decent multiplayer, do all that on the wii, even with an old port, and people would go NUTS! i would buy copies of it for my friends, just so i could pwn them online!
