Now lets take about the rumors of the Nintendo Wii getting the FFXIII. For those of you who think that this is far off, think aging. In an interview with Square, they admitted that they were making two versions of the game. FFXIII and FFXIII Versus. So what does that mean for Nintendo fans? well Square is using a new engine to build there games called Crystal tools (used to be called White Engine). This is an engine that can build games for PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and yes even the wii. The games that it makes for the wii are the same as the other games, but they are slimmed down a bit. However, it may shock you to find out that they are not as slimmed down as you may think. Mostly just a few lighitng affects are gone, and unless the games are compared side by side, most do not even notice the difference. Now you may be saying that this does not mean that FFXIII (or what ever verison) is coming to the wii. However, Square also made note that the wii engine for the game is already in development. Now he did not say that it was coming out for the wii for sure(make note of that) but the fact that they have something in development is a start. It would be nice to see FF get back to its roots.... I read a few different articles about this, but here is the link to one. Keep in mind this is just one of the links, but you will get the ideas that are in motion. The Tanooki Final Fantasy XIII coming to Wii? Crystal Tools makes it a possibility

Well anyone who has been waiting for a new RPG will be happy to hear that Arc Rise Fantasia is coming to the wii. Many of you probably remeber the first gam Luminous Arc on the DS. So if you liked the DS one or you just like RPG all together this could be a good game for you
Here is what has been released about the story so far: "Arc Rise Fantasia is set in the empire of Meridian, which has a bit of a lingering dragon problem. These so-called "contaminant dragons" are nothing but trouble, passing through the nation in great flocks; even if you kill one, the resulting explosion poisons the local area and causes it to look a bit like a Superfund site. When the empire receives word that a massive horde has its sights on the capital of Diamant, it immediately sends out an army to counteract them, including licensed mercenary Bright and his friend Alse, royal prince and second in line for the throne. Bright is severely hurt in the ensuing battle, but is saved at the last minute by a girl named Ryphia who possesses the power to control "ley squalls," naturally-occurring storms of magic that usually take the form of luminous rain" Also, I have to say that some of the screenshots look pretty good as well, you can check out a few here (I think there are seven screens altogether) IGN: Arc Rise Fantasia Pictures (Wii) Full Size 2452073

Sorry for the double post but I didnt want to start a new thread for this small bit of information.....
(EDIT) Saw some people had this info in aother thread, sorry if this is not new info. Hope it was new to someone ^_^ If anyone has been thinking that Disaster Day of Crisis was dead, we got some new images for it. The game is still in development and is set for a 2009 release. In fact someone has thrown out the date of Oct 24 2009 but we will see. G4 - The Feed - New 'Disaster: Day of Crisis' Images So what do you think? I thik the game looks great and if the whole thing looks this good I think it was well worth the wait. Looks like they got a good mix of stuff that you are doing in the game and it looks like you are going to do a lot of killing with some guns. In one pic you can see that he is holding a gun and hiding. However the cool thing about this is you can also see where it says "5 chain" besided him, meaning that he has just killed 5 people in a row. I think this game could have a lot of killing in it. I bet this game gets a M rating......

Up coming games
I really am looking forward to The Force Unleashed (have a reserved copy, hurry up Sept. 16) and Dead Rising . Have Dead Rising for the 360 and it's an awsome game!
Being on the Wii and it being a little bit different story line than the 360's along with the new way to play it, (with the wiimote) to deal extra damage to zombies and the bosses should be great!! Some of the others I'll rent first then decide if I want to buy. |

Here is some more information on Dead Rising Chop to You Drop. Some of you may know this but some may not:
A lot of people have been wondering how many zombies will be on the screen at once. Capcom has now said that up to 100 zombies will be on the screen at any given time. Here are a few more screen shots, but these are still not showing how many zombies can be on the screen at once, but you get a good idea. Capcom said that most of the trailers that people have seen are of the start of the game and that is why it looks like there are not many zombies. GC: Images of Dead Rising Wii Howver the best news that I have heard about it is that Capcom has gotten rid of the time limit that people did not like from the last one. you no longer are forced to rush throw the game. In the last one you only had only so long to get the pictures you wanted and your story. You can now take your time and explore as much of the Mall as you want, and everyone can kind of let the game unfold in there own way. Capcom has said that this makes the game feel much more natural. On top of all that the wii verison of course has new zombies in the mix and a RE4 aiming method (over the shoulder, and aim with the wii remote). It sounds like this game is shaping up to bre pretty cool.
