Well, it did win some type of prestigious award when it was released. And the fact that it was the only game people played for a while didn't help that.

well i think it got praise because it was the first ever motion sensor game, and the controls are good.

and lets face it, anyhting miyamoto touches turns to gold.

I support nintendo with most of there choices and i think in time there games will get better and they accept games from 3rd parties. There have been very good games on the wii and there will be more games hopefully like madworld and conduit but there are times when i get the urge to go buy a 360 (which i probably do one day...maybe.) and buy halo and all those other good games but i will stand by nintendo.

Every system has its unique qualities. Its perfectly ok to like more than one system without shying away from what you always liked. I still plan on buying my new playstation myself someday soon. That dosent mean I want to see nintendo fade away. Besides, compatition is a necessary thing!

I'm kinda like you Agravain3 I'm torn.

I grew up with Nintendo for a pretty long time (heck it's the company that hooked me into gaming N64).
I support Nintendo because of their quality first party titles like the ones that have been mentioned. That's why its such a shame to see them ignoring them *cough* *cough* E3 2008. The thing that ticks me off is that they need to seriously get with the times i.e a hard drive and better online.

To be honest the only two reasons I'm keeping my Wii at this moment is because of my library of VC games and GCN stuff (I have no N64, SNES, or NES) and for the first party stuff with maybe a few GOOD third party titles like No More Heroes and The Conduit. Second I like the motion controls for the most part I think they work very fluid and with additions like motionplus they work even better.

And then I see the 360 that has a hardrive and great online and great third party support.

And because I'm putting more and more of my time into investing into a 360 I plan on really only getting two games for my wii this year none of which are by Nintendo because they don't have anything planned for the near future. (unless something big like Zelda is announced).

to be 100% honest with you guys though, i will go down with the ship. yes nintendo has made some boneheaded mistakes, but i love them. there games are pure fun. and there profits are to good right now for them to die anytime soon.

Like Agravain3 and many others I'm torn. I have just been getting bored with my wii lately I mean you can't play smash and mkw forever. The rest of my games are just sitting on a shelf collecting dust. The worst part is that 3rd parties are making 20 dollar games. I'm sorry but is anyone here actually going to play Freddi Fish: The Case of The Missing Kelp Seeds or Rapala Fishing Frenzy or maybe even zoo hospital. It is like nintendo expects everyone who has a wii to be 10 years old. Even the games nintendo is making are a little stupid like Mario Super Sluggers.

Hopefully Conduit, and Madworld will shine and hopefully show all of the 3rd parties that if they put some time and effort into their games they could do the same.

Call of Duty: World at War is also coming out for the wii and we know that is probably going to be good.

Thats what I'm depending on. Since Nintendo's only big game for Wii is Animal Crossing (so far) I'm looking more into what third parties like High Voltage (The Conduit) and THQ (Star Wars TFU) and even SEGA (Sonic Unleashed.
