they said they planned on using it, which means i hope nintendo will let it slide, saying it was their desicion, not ours.

and what if animal crossing gets me really angry?? what if someone comes and starts chopping down my trees??? i'll scream my head off at em.

Well, that's the thing. They're your friends. You wouldn't expect them to just come in your village and chop down all your trees.

this dossent suprise me, its the same way skype works, i think.

i wonder what happens if u cuss soemone out on that thing? cna u report someone i wonder? its to bad it wont mute out the drunken ramblings of ym dad

haha yer i wonder how they are gonna mute our free speech maybe the micro will have a word reconizer or someting....or maybe it will just be what you said, someone complains and then they block you.

Anyway I was sure the wiimote had audio input...maybe it was not strong enough.

It has audio input, but not output.

It's awesome that nintendo has solved the problemm with background noise. To bad we probably won't be able to chat in games that have rivalry.

Animal Crossing does NOT come with the WiiSpeak microphone. That comes seperately.

I'm not going to get it because I bet that at the very best, SOME background noise comes in. And, even if it doesn't, you'll sound like you're yelling at a distance to other people simply because of the distance between you and the mic.

AND, furthermore, even if I'm wrong with both of those assumptions, I am 100% sure whatever software the Wii uses to parse the sound will both A) lag when the modifications are made (removal of background noise and distancing effect) and B) lag over the internet because its games are highly resource intensive.

I'm predicting: epic failure.

i dunno, im gunna get it because i think it wont be THAT bad, i mean they did a pretty good job with the DS mic. and even if there is a little bit of backround noise it really issnt gunna be that big of a deal to me, and most nintendo fans. but hey nintendo said there will be NO backround noise, and nintendo has the technology im sure. but reagaurdless im already sold, the idea of me talking to my freinds via the wii is just so cool, ecspecialy to someone who has never played xbox live.

WiiSpeak + The Conduit might make some good machinima! Maybe if The Condut had a theater mode like thing that could also record sound then....
