EA Goes For The Wii

hmm i seem to have over-looked need for speed. it would good for the wii to get a good racer that has a "realistic feel" to it.

as long as the wii dossent get all these dumb sports games to it. game si wouldnt mind seeing hit the wii from ea would be :

SSX-one that actualy works unlike blur
Medal of Honor
Need For Speed
battlefeild
burnout
mercenaries


these are all game series they have on there main site. so i geuss they make them, i diddnt know they made battlefeild

I love the MoH games and I would like to see more on the wii. Now that they are putting a lot of time into it, i think we will get some good ones. I forgot all about the need for speed games. I know a new one is on the way, that Need For Speed Undercover. It could be cool

Thats what I am thinking too! The games have been kind of bad so far, but there has still been a few good ones here and there, but its looking more promising by the day.

Well I'm afraid I can't say much about EA that hasn't already been said but the big news is that 3rd party developers are taking the Wii seriously to make games for it.

wait wait wait... I see a lot of EA franchises being thrown about here and I think we need to calm down a bit.

I did not see EA saying that they were bringing out long established franchises. What I read from the quote was:

We've got some incredibly innovative Wii titles, incredibly innovative DS titles coming. And so I think that issue's sort of behind us. We have turned most of our resources toward quality up coming Wii games

Incredibly innovative? - that doesn't sound like MoH or NFS at all... I'm guessing we are looking at brand new titles from EA that make use of the new Wiimote system. These games could still pretty much be "shovelware" as some are calling it. While it is good to see EA pay the Wii some attention, I'm going to reserve jumping up and down until I actually hear from EA what kind of titles they are bringing out.

(although, I for one hope SSX hits with Wiiboard control )

that is true, they never did say what games they are bring over, if any. However it seems like a lot of companies are including the wii in a lot of the ports this time. LIke CoD: world at war (not EA but just making a point).

However the two games you bring up MoH and NFS are two games that have already come out on the wii, so I dont know what you mean? MoH games have already been on the wii, its crazy to think that they wont make more. And NFS has been on the wii as well, in fact the next one Need For Speed Undercover has alreaday been confirmed.

I think they will bring new games as well as the ones they have been bringing.

well they still are gunna bring us new franchises. and i highly doubt we will get mercenaries but whats to say we wont get more medal of honor, need for speed, and SSx. the wii already has atleast 1 title from each of these seires.

and need for speed something or other that came out close to launch.

Yeah how great would that be to get mercenaries on the wii. From the way they are talking it does not seem to far off......i hope.

I think there up coming game Boom Blox looks like it could be pretty fun. However there is talk of the next Fight Night being on the wii. Now I am not a big sports person but I do love some Fight Night. The wii is perfect for it to. The article i was reading said that they have wanted to do it for a long time now, and now that EA seems to be backing up th wii it seems like the project is off to the races. If they are making one, they have probably been working on it already and just now start taking about it
