Thumbs up EA Goes For The Wii

Just got done reading a cool news clip on G4 about how EA wishes they would have bet on Nintendo and the Wii. He talked about how they have to choose what system to suppose before they come out and he feels like they may of made the wrong choice. Now EA is turning most of there resources into making more games for the Wii and DS. In fact EA head honcho John Riccitiello said:

"We typically figured out who the market leader was going to be before the start of the cycle and bet with our development resources on that platform. We made the wrong call there (by betting on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360), which made this transition harder than it would otherwise be. But now we're catching up, and I think we're fine. We've got some incredibly innovative Wii titles, incredibly innovative DS titles coming. And so I think that issue's sort of behind us. We have turned most of our resources toward quality up coming Wii games."

It looks like third party compaines are starting to look at the wii more seriously now. I think that we are going to see some great third party games coming up for the wii, not only from EA but others.

Nice. Now to see if this will start a long line of good games for the Wii. Maybe there's a bright future for the Wii after all.

EA's looking to start making more games for the Wii?
*sigh*
The Wii spirals further down...my god it's like a toilet bowl that just keeps getting flushed.

Poor Nintendo .

lol, I like a lot of the EA games. Really I am just happy to see some more companies welling to give some third party support. THat is what everyone keeps talking about right?

I think that we should not turn out noises up at people when we could get some third party support. After all we do not want to turn everyone off aging. This is also a good sign that other compaines may be more welling to make more games for the wii.

Come on Rokrin, look on the bright side of things

Of course, the sad thing will be when EA releases all these titles and no one buys them because they aren't a "Nintendo" first party title and Link/Mario/Samus aren't in it

Good news still, but the history of Nintendo's fanbase hasn't been too kind to 3rd party developers.

That's cool. Maybe some more games like MOH Airborne but for the Wii.

EA's also got the Need for Speed franchise. That's done okay in the past. Though, personally MoH:H2 is the best FPS online game for the Wii, but still not all too great. The few maps, and fewer gameplay options. Plus, the campaign wasn't all too great, either, in my opinion. Plus, tends to be, for me, that my bullets fly right through my enemy all too often. Though, maybe they could fix that in a sequel?

Plus, I think EA going to Wii isn't all too bad, it does show that there might be some hope for Nintendo to get some more third-party support.
