How-To: Find Wii Friend Codes
I really didn't know where to put this, so it's going here since I can't post in the Friend Code section and nobody can post in WiFi. Anyway, I'll give a brief demo on how to find your Wii console friend code and in-game friend codes. First, the console. Any questions, please ask away, this might still be a little confusing, and if anyone has any corrections, feel free to do so.
Console: 1. Turn your Wii on 2. Make sure you're able to connect to the Internet on it via WiFi or Ethernet 3. Click on Wii Menu, then Address Book 4. On the first page of your address book is your Wii consoles friend code. the rest of the pages are for you to put in other friend codes. And remember, if you register someone's friend code, you will not be able to message them until they have registered your code. Games: Some games differ in finding friend codes, but this is most common. 1. Turn your Wii on and make sure you can connect to Internet 2. Go to your game's title screen 3. Somewhere on the title screen it should say Nintendo WFC. Click on it 4. Now that you are on WiFi Connection on your game, somewhere on this new menu it should say "Friend Roster". 5. Click on Friend Roster, and you should either be able to see your code immediately or you will have to click a "My Friend Code" tab. The other tabs should be something about registering other friends and checking your roster. Hope this helps anyone who was confused about finding friend codes. |

Too bad you couldn't have posted this almost 1/2 a year ago when I needed it. Took me forever to find the Wii codes. I think its a great idea for the new people who are coming to wiispace, and probably even for those who have been here a while.

Thank you!!
Thank you so very much for doing this for us!! Once I get a game I can play with you all...I will know where to come to figure things out regarding game codes!! hee hee hee
Since I don't have any games to play with you all yet would you tell me something please....?? I have been looking for games based on the friends list thing under the "CP" menu. (ok two questions) Is that a complete-n-current list of games for which we can play together? And if I'm at an actual store and don't have access to this list, does it say on the game that I can play with others? A symbol or something? Wifi maybe? (ok more than two but they were small...tee hee hee) Thanks again for posting this!!! I do suggest that you make it a 'sticky' or whatever it's called so that it doesn't get washed away in the sea of postings ![]() Thanks!! OffRoadGrrl ![]() |

That list may not have every game, so you can check here, it might have all of them. And yes, if a game has something to do with going online, it will have a little blue circle that says "Nintendo WiFi" on it, usually in the top left corner of the box.
