so in all honesty i was sitting at my desk pondering what to make threads about, im gunna try to liven this palce up even if i dont get a spot on the new team thing the mods are working on. but regaurdless its time to get back ontopic.

i was watching some G4 and "A morgan minuite" came up and her question was along the lines of this: do devolpers not make new series because it wont sell as good as a old classic or is it because gamers are to close minded to change?- plase note im paraprahsing.

so here are my 2 questions.

#1-i know allot of you wii owners are saying you dislike the wii because it dossent have enough hard core games, so would u rather have a new hard core series? kinda like the conduit or would you rather see a zelda or emtroid or soemthing more well established?

#2-what makes a game hardcore?

#1- well its difficult, i enjoy my oldies such as zelda, mario, metroid, call of duty, james bond ect. but its always cool to change stuff. imean look at all the cool changes game industrys have made in the last 10 years alone

3D graphics
dual analog
touch screen
motion control
rumble pack
wifi play
system updates
wireless controllers
shopping for stuff over the console
theres so much more.

but it is nice to get an old game, atleast then you will know it will be atleast some what good. so i would have to say i like new games though, i enjoy change. but dont get me wrong i also want them to keep old clasics alive.

#2- whats a hardcore game? well its an open ended answer. its like those questions you get at school with out wrong answers, just as long as you justifiy it. so do what do i think makes a game hardcore? well soemthing that takes skill and allot of time/work to beat. some examples will follow

#1-zelda
#2-call of duty 4
#3-super smash bros& brawl & melle
#4- i consider 3d mario's semi hardcore but the 2ds i consider really hardcore.
#5-halo ,i hate to say it
#6-metroid
#7-final fantasy
#8-Grand Theft Auto
#9-gran turismo
#10-assasins creed

there are so many more those were just off the top of my head.

#1. I'd Rather buy a newer game that's based off an old series because then i know what to expect.
#2. The fact that a 10 year old can't beat it easily, give it some thriller too so were not always knowing what to expect,I'd like to see a Zelda with insane scare tactic's like gibdo's coming out of the ground from nowhere, what happened to the hand that used to grab you from the ceiling, i remember that thing used to scare me all the time when i was younger...

1. This is a hard question to answer. I love Zelda and Mario games and I want to see them coming through still but I like new series. They should make some new hardcore game series to comethrough but keep the old ones alive. But we need some good new games not like all this crap we have been getting on the wii.

2. A hardcore game is a hard game to beat that takes some time and frustrates you in parts. Frustration = Hardcore in some ways. Just hard enough to let you fail afew times and be determined to get it but not too frustrating that you just give up.

youre reason makes snece, however after furhter thought i must say that a game that takes a long time to beat is no longer in my thoughts as a hardcore game, but instead a hard game

oh and btw i rember those spiders that would fall from the ceeling in zelda OoT would make me leap back in my chair when i was a lil kid, i was like 7 or 8 when i played zelda OoT

BOTH! Id love to see more Star Fox, Marios, kingdom hearts, and call of duties but on the otherhand games like MadWorld, conduit, de blob, littlebigplanet, and spore all bring new life to gaming!

Difficulty, Wifi, and complexity.
We dont want AllPlay, a safe online system, and 3 hit bosses!! We need more hardcore! But wait! We do have alot of hardcore! Galaxy, brawl, twighlight princess, metroid 3, etc are all hardcore.

#1 This is a tough one for me particularly since I'm a fan of retro and older games but I think with the plethora of VC titles having new hardcore series on the Wii can do nothing but help.

#2 A hardcore game...funny cuz I made a thread to ask people to define it lol. But I'll say the same thing as I said in that one and that is a game that is geared towards a fanbase and includes higher elements of difficulty, complexity, story, extra content, and sometimes even online play.

1. I would like to see both. I would really enjoy the classic franchises making their debut/return to the Wii, but I would also like to see the Wii come out with many new franchises that will continue over the years to be classics in the upcoming years.

2. I don't believe in 'hardcore' games. I hate that word, actually. There is no such thing as a hardcore game. It's more of an opinion than anything, and when everyone's opinion is different, you can't find a common answer and say, 'This is what the majority says, so that's that'. Instead, it just leads everyone to arguing, and nothing ever gets accomplished!!!
