Wii projector
Well I purchased a Wii and 2 Wii motes after reading on the Nintendo faq that the Wii will work with 200inch screens. Well I hooked it to my projector and the wii mote only works in a little area that I point at on the wall. My projector is only about 120inches and I am standing 10-12 feet away. There is no calibration function on the wii other than the little brightness ajustment.
I have found a few old threads on this issue but they are old and I am not sure if nintendo has done an update since. I cant do an update because nintendo decided to add wifi in which I have gone out of my way to remove wifi from my home and wire everything. Anyone know about sensor bar width does that help? |

I think you have to be no more then 10 feet away from the sensor bar for it to work properly...
I think that's what you were asking... Also, you can purchase a LAN adapert(wired) From the nintendo site so you can use an ethernet cable to go online ![]() Hope this helps

Lights can interfere, especially projector lights. Anything that gives off infrared lights (for instance: lamps, the sun, projectors) generally interfere with the Wiimote's ability to read the sensor bar.
That's just a hunch, though.

The wall has the screen painted on it and the only thing that is on that wall is the speakers. Under the screen is the wii and the sensor bar. Th sensor bar is affixed to the wall just below the screen. There was no sunlight because there is blinds and room darkening shades plus it was at night. Getting closer to the sensor makes the problem worse. I have found many references to this problem outside of these forums but after doing some searches it seems that a lot of people are just pretending the problem doesnt exist including nintendo and continuing to say that the thing works on a 200inch screen.

How else do you get a 200inch screen? I only know of one place that you can get close to a 200inch lcd. Dont be a fool how else do you get a 200inch screen.
For those that are actually interested in a solution I found some info on another board that involves distance between the two dots. I will be checking more there since I have only gotten jackass remarks here. |

It is possible, but i am not exactly sure how. We had one hooked up to a projector and a 96" screen without any problems at all. Though we had our sensor bar about 10-12 feet in front of the screen. Maybe give that a shot?
