Yeah I heard that, I had to wait 8 hours in the cold outside walmart just to wait 2 more hours inside until 12:00, on top of that I had to wait an extra 15 minutes before the registers flipped over to the 19th, then wait for all the fools that didn't know what they wanted to buy even though they had 12 hours and 15 minutes to think about it while they waited in line. My picks were simple. Wii, Wii points, Zelda, Call of Duty 3, extended warrenty. I wish I could have gotten the arcade pad and red steel, and an extra remote after playing wii sports, but I didn't have the 110 plus tax to spend. I'm still debating on which old school game to buy.

I waited 27 hours in line at my walmart. I was #2 in line, and they only had 20 wii's. we were sold out by 2 am saturday morning. Did anybody else get weird looks while waiting in line. I'd have to say the best stuff happened in our line. we bought an air horn and blew it at people who looked at us funny. also the mispronunciation of wii was annoying though!! Got mine at 12:01 got home and started zelda....awesome game......and wii sports is awesome too!!!!

Ok so here is the story of My Wii-venture

About 9PM on Saturday night, me and my roomate went to a local 24 hour WalMart, thinking we would be slick and get the Wii at Midnight, and play it all night. So we go into the store..there was alot of people, but not all in one place..it just looked like christmas shoppers. Then an announcement came over the PS system...they said "All shoppers looking to buy the new Nintendo Wii should go into the parking lot outside to get a ticket"
At that moment, it seemed like a Tsumai Wave of people ran out the doors of the store. When I got outside, there were already about 200 people waiting in line. By the time they handed out the tickets, there were well over 550 people waiting. (For 36 units that they had). Of course, we didnt win one, so we went and drove past my local Target (I knew they had 60...and it was first come first serve). There were only 20 people outside, so me and my roomate went home, got our stuff, and prepared to camp out. It was now 11:30PM. It was actually alot of fun (and COLD!). There were alot of people there with Nintendo DS's, so we had MarioKart, BrainAge, and ClubGame tornements throughout the night...that was awesome. The people were all awesome and we were talking excitedly about the Wii all night long. Finally, at 7AM they came out and passed out voucher to guarantee you would get one..I was so happy to be holding it! (I was number 24 in line). At 8, the opened the store to us and made us go in single file. One by one, we went into the section where everything was setup, got our Wii's, picked out whatever games and accessories we wanted, paid, and got an escort out of the building.

OMFG I LOVE THIS THING!!!! Let me just tell you people, Wii Sports is AWESOME. Even my Video Game hating friend Missy loves it. We were boxing each other...WHAT A WORKOUT! I was weating and panting like you wouldnt believe. The Wii is awesome...a testament to Nintendo. They made a good choice this time with the motion sensor controllers...its just wonderful.

Zelda is awesome as well....I am loving in. I also got Monkey Ball...thats pretty neat too....very fun to play. Wii sports is jsut plain awesome.
I've downloaded Super Mario 64 and it works well with the Classic controller.

Cant wait for you all to get your Wiis, and exchange Miis...I want to collect as many Wii's as possible

(Cincinnati, Ohio) I waited from 1:00pm to midnight at Wal Mart in Fairfield. I was 5th in line and a friend of mine was 2nd in line. They had 29 available. At 10pm they handed out tickets based on the order we were in line. Oddly enough there was somehow two tickets left and my cousin who waited from 8pm to 10pm got number 29. Anyway, all 3 of us got one. I got Zelda and a pink Wiimote skin (in an attempt to have my wife like the system) and looked for Trauma Center but it was not there.

got zelda, tony hawk, and madden.

had quite a few friends over, so i didn't get much time alone with her sunday morning. my zelda quest didn't start until sunday evening, and every game i've played has been good with the wiimote. they took a little getting used to - i guess it's hard to break a 20-year-old habit.

after i figured out the controls, every game was incredible! well worth the time, money, and effort.

Got mine from Toy R Us. Actually I sent my future wife because I had some things to take care of at work. I was at work by 6am and ran 192 new cables and replaced a couple of older Cisco switches. By 10am I was on another floor running (24) 80ft rj21 patch cables for 2 new 6513's I'm installing. I got home around 13:30 to find a wii sitting on my kitchen counter.

I have Zelda, Red Steel, Excite Truck. GT Collection, Monkey Balls, 3 extra wiimotes, 3 extra nunchucks & the organizer.
