Muramasa : The Demon Blade Getting the Buzz

This game looks sexy. According to it's wikipedia, this game was due to be released on Tuesday, September 8th. It's a damn shame I sold my Wii, because this game actually does look like it might have GOTY potential, which is AMAZING considering it's on the PS2...er, Wii.

Those are all three in-game screenshots. Muramasa offers over 30 stages, and if they're all beautifully drawn like that, you can gaurantee satisfaction. Wii owners, this one slid under the radar. Go get your hands on it, and let me know how it is!

...lol. just because it doesnt appeal to you, you immediately scratch it off of the GOTY nominees? this is going to be one of the most visually stunning action RPG's available for the wii...dont be so sure on a mario game taking GOTY.

I went out and got this game as soon as it came out, and yes, it is a must own for all wii owners. These are the kinds of games we need on the wii

As meatwad already pointed out the game looks great, but it also plays great. The controls feet great and you can choose to use everything from you gamecube controller to your classic controller.

This is an RPG game much like the Castlevania DS games, meaning that you can travel through different stages of the game and backtrack as needed (which is needed for some side quest). There are save points set up in different areas (which are watched over by a very busty lady I might add) and even towns that you can visit to stock up on healing items and cooking items (yes you can cook your own meals in the game).

Forging tons for swords is a lot of fun in the game and choosing which path of sword making you want to go down. There are almost endless amounts of swords that you can make and each of course has its ups and downs. Looking ahead to see what kind of sword you want to end up with is a must. For example I want the sword that absorbs blood and thus heals me as I fight with it.

You can have up to three swords equipped at a time, but you can switch them out at will. You can even equip different items on your player which of course gives you different stat bonuses like increase power, defense, no poison, and so on.

However some of the thing that i really like about the game (besides the look of it) is first, the Japanese voice over. It really adds a very nice feel to the game. Second is the very epic boss battles. Every boss battle is larger then life and always makes you feel so overwhelmed. Also the charters in the game are very imaginative. Wheater you are taking to the busty fox lady or one of the many people in the town you are sure to hear some pretty crazy things, lol

This game ranks very high on my list of wii game and is sure to keep me busy until Arc rise fantasia, Monster Hunter Tri, and Fragile:Farewell ruins of the moon come out

im not saying it scratches it off the list, this game is getting some good hype and on other nintendo forums has people really amped. im just guessing the nintendo audience will more than likely vote NSMBW. its just a prediction of mine.

Loving the colours, although definitely a 'rent-first' game. Also, I haven't seen it in any shops here in the UK

7.5 on Gamespot...

It's not out until November here in the UK plus it seems to have a high price.

But.... like a blackbird or another animal that likes big bold things, I will buy it for those lush colours and Japan-anmie feel.
