you dont need a wireless router but you apparantly need to have some sort of connection that the Wii can connect to! They will also sell like these USB cords that connect the Wii to the computer! I can't wait for SSBB! We can now show off are SMASH skills around the world! HAHA... BTW, I think that this topic is in the wrong spot! I think it belongs under SSBB in the Wiigames section! HAHA, and welcome to the Forums BRO! HAHA

another what do i need to play the wii on the net thread...lol
anyway! you need some sort of internet (such as wireless internet or a router) and the wii will connect to it wirelessly (for wireless internet) and you can plug the wii into a router. here is what wiki has to say: "Connectivity The Wii will have built-in 802.11b/g Wi-Fi connectivity allowing communication over the Internet and with the Nintendo DS via wireless networking. Nintendo has stated that the Wii will have a standard interface for Wi-Fi. An optional USB adapter will provide network connectivity via wired Ethernet as well.[1] In addition, the console incorporates Bluetooth wireless communication, with which it communicates with the wireless Wii Remote controller. Connectivity with other Bluetooth devices has not been mentioned." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii Welcome to the forum too! ![]()
