I'm convinced the Wii mote I got from Wii Play just plain out doesn't work. I've done everything I'm supposed to do, it just doesn't work.

Help!

I just got my Wii (yay!). Unfortunately, after I started it up, the Wiimote that came with it didn't seem to work with it -- like, at all. Fortunately, I had ordered a second one that arrived at the same time -- I synced it up and it all worked fine. The original just seems like a lump of plastic. I've hit the sync button -- no dice. (The lights on the second remote started flashing the moment I pressed that red button, even though I was in a completely different room from the Wii at the time.) I put in a different set of batteries -- nothing. Do you have any suggestions, or do I just have to suck it up and buy another one? I bought the Wii through a reseller on Amazon, and probably they wouldn't take the just the wiimote back, since I don't want to package up and return the whole system. I want to do two-player play with my wife, that was a big part of why I bought the thing in the first place! Any suggestions?

hmmm are u syncing the console as well?

Press the pretty red button under the sd card flap while at the smae time press ing the wiimote synch button, i just press them over and over till it works.

So guy over the weekend i was playing Tennis with a group of friends. And one of my friends accidentaly hit his remote against the table. Well now it wont work during games, but it works for everything else, i can control the menu screen and move with it to choose icons. But once i get in a game it stops working... Any idea what it could be i already tried syncing it again and the batteries are new. I hope i dont have to get a new remote.
