Should I do it when the Wii is on or off. I tried both and neither worked. But I also forgot to do the first and second steps.

Like... I'll turn it on, it'll be on the health and safety screen. And I'll do what you tell me, and that works well. But then I'll try to sync 'em up, and it just doesn't work.

Hi, I've just joined for the reason of trying to figure out my wii remote. I'm not sure if its the one that came with my wii (less than a week ago) or if its the one i got with wii play. I havent had any problems with it untill last night. I tried to play zelda for the first time, immediately after my fiance and i were playing super mario galaxy for awhile. She was using the second wii remote in the two play mode with no problems. my rechargable batteries were starting to die so we decided to stop and charge that one, and i would use the other to play zelda. well i went to start the game and the remote wouldnt work. the other one worked just fine, so i used it for the little bit that i played. Today i went to play again and the same thing... remote not working. I put in wii play and when i add the second remote it works fine in game and everything. even when i adjust it that non working remote to be player one by itself it works fine. but when i get back to the main screen and put another game in it stops working.

I have tried to re-sync it with the red button, but that hasnt worked. Also, i dont see the sync button anywhere on the wii console. Is it possible that the newer ones dont have one on the console?

I assume you have the nunchuck? You can't play Zelda unless you have it. And you didn't mention it. Just wondering.

yep, i do have the nunchuck. I am pretty sure my problem doesnt have anything to do with the zelda game, as i cant even get the one controller to be recognized at the warning screen when you first turn it on.

the one controller works fine, but the other doesnt at all.

Ok then definitly the wiimote problem. I would take it back and get another. Or send it back to Nintendo.

It's an awesome game. I'm almost done with it.

i did get the problem worked out. i wasnt looking at the right spot for the remote sync button on the wii. i re-synced them both and now either works to start the game.

by the way, zelda is great. I havent gotten too far yet, but its a lot of fun.

Thanks.

I bought brand new rechargable batteries (the kind recommended) and I can never get past ONE light on both my wiimotes. Seriously fustrating. The batteries that came with the remote worked fine and I had it all the way up to the four dots (light) when i first go it. So now I'm confused as to why BRAND NEW batteries aren't working.
