Flashing Blue Light???

So I've had my wii since Christmas and absolutely love it! No problems whatsoever. But, just recently, within the last 2 days or so, the light around the "game slot" started flashing.
It flashes 4 times and each time gets more dim and after the 4th light it starts over again. I tried turnig it on and off again multiple times but the light will not turn off. Does this mean something's wrong. Please help!

Yes it is connected to the internet and has been for a couple of weeks now. But the light just started a couple of days ago. As soon as i turn it on the flashing stops, but when it is turned off the flshing starts again.

It means you have mail from Nintendo - and I also believe it is an indication that your Wii is access the net/talking to Nintendo.

Yeah. That's your WiiConnect24 getting data from Nintendo.

It's supposed to.

The Wii stays partially on at all times in order to be able to recieve data and ilk from Nintendo; that's why when you first plug your Wii in, the light is red, but until you unplug it, everytime you turn it off, the light should become amber instead of red.

lol, same here!

Whenever your blue light starts flashing (assuming you keep it on) check your Wii message board, you should have an email from someone waiting there to be read. Nintendo also sends you information about updates and other things through this method.
