What are your thoughts for Mario Party 9

What are your thoughts for Mario Party 9? What playable characters do you think they will add? Shy Guy?

I can't say I was too fond of Mario Party 8. Despite the fact that some mini games were fun, it was more of a disappointment. It seems that the Mario Party franchise just kept slowly going down and becoming less fun as time went on. Mario Party 2 was the best. They need to go back to the original ideas, and stop making the boards so weird to play.

I think it should be easier to pick up.
My gf has it and we love to play it, but we don't to often because each game takes like half an hour. We now just stick to the DS version. It feels slow. And for this whole casual gamer atmosphere that i think Nintendo is trying to push, they should use this game as a bridge i think.

DS connectivity would be nice, with or without game, and maybe customizable maps. More options, i think would be better. Set up your matches however you choose. And online of course.

Mario parties 1 and two were probably the best. The boards were very simple, the rules were very simple and you could have plenty of fun with the game. Except for the blister inducing spin the analog stick as fast as you can mini-games (I'm looking at you peddle bike and tug of war), the Games were quick and simple. By the time Mario Party 3 rolled around, the board itself became ridiculously complicated, I stopped buying them. If they ever go back to a more simplified rule set, with a less complicated board, then I may be interested in them again.

So Mario Party 9? I'll skip it...

do you mean mario party 9 or mario party99 lol jk. I don't know man unlike Zelda or Mario, Metroid Mario Party seems kinda overdone and milked to death. I think I'll be like most and skip this one.
