Backbreaker

Backbreaker has been announced to be for the 360 and the PS3, but no release date has been given yet. The game is being developed by NaturalMotion, whose physics technology has seen use in Metal Gear Solid 4, Grand Theft Auto IV, and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. I don't even like football games usually, but because of that video above I'm actually hyped for this. To semi-quote a guy that commented on an earlier story, if this game turns out to be half as good as it looks, I'll be a guaranteed buyer.

What do you guys think about it? Could it really be a Madden killer?

Really nice physics but nothing is going to kill Madden.

Appeared to be way too much fumbling, even on the small hits.

It seems very realistic, in the way that every tackle is different. This feature will either work for or against the game's gameplay. As allstarbpb mentioned, there would be tons of fumbling, but it would give the game a sense of creativity rather than just a plain strategy. I'm curious to see how this one turns out.

thats pretty cool the tackling is really realistic but thats just one part of the game..

madden killer? no not if thats all its got to offer

like theres not way too much fumbling in madden on stupid hits....

looks incredible, but so does madden in their previews...and madden is always a broken game it seems nowadays.

This game looks like the gameplay could be epic.

But I agree...it's no Madden killer..

I like the look, but pretty sure it won't be able to replace Madden.
