Ya, im gonna get it. I think the character model for Chell is horrible though, ugly and unnatural looking. I perfer the Jessica Alba look of Alyx Vance in HL2, rawr!

Shame I wouldnt be allowed to get Half-Life. It looks really fricken awesome, after looking it up on Youtube (Alyx singing "Still Alive" was cool). Can you turn the blood off? I mean Zombies would still be blood soaked but can you?

i dont think so, but portal is just as awesome as half life (just its a compltetly diffrent game, and its shorter) and u can get garys mod thru portal

Source SDK lets you make those NPC's (Zombies, Breen, Alyx, etc.) and such on demand, I think. I also think it gives you things like faceposer. GMOD looks to complicated, and probably is a big file to. If my parents didnt really care about the content in games, I would probably get Portal Standalone, and the HL2 Episode Pack. The HL2 Ep. pack has Half-life Deathmatch to.

Bummer about that Blood And Guts thing. Bet you are not allowed out into M rated movies either. Bleh, too many people attempting to shield their kids from some simulated experience because they believe it might "harm" them is silly *sigh*. As far as the Blood in HL2...I'm struggling to come up with what was really Bloody in that game. The most damaging thing you could do to someone was impale them with the crossbow which would stick them into a wall...All explosions made bodies ragdoll-fly, but they would never lose limbs and the like. Hitting things with the crowbar would cause a small "splat" of blood out of the enemy, as well as shooting, but they don't leave gory puddles of blood anywhere after their death. The most blood in the game comes from the blood stained clothing some of the headcrab zombies wear, and maybe some of the walls in Ravenholm. (ahh, in Ravenholm you can cut a few zombies in half, but again there is no real bloodiness to it, just a half a body crawling to claw you into pieces.)

Teamfortress 2 is cartoony violence almost in the line of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, but I suppose that argument wouldn't work. Anyway, good luck with Portal :-)

lol yea teamportal is like cartoons. sumthing blows up, and u got the line of charcoal or sumthing in their face lol.

I got Portal! Along with the Source SDK. I might learn how to use the map editor for that. I have no experience with scripting, but it looks more visual and not text. Make some kind of playground for playing with the Console (make zombies, soldiers, citizens, boxes, spheres, etc.) Get the TFV Mappack to.

Im turning 14 in half a year. I should definetly be allowed to play Half-Life then.

It's a good game. I beat it in an hour. It's fun though.
