Alien Life

I have a few questions that I thought up while looking at the clone debate, but I didn't want to get off topic.

How come some religious people say that it's impossible to find intelligent alien life. I thought God created the whole universe. I also know the whole "God created us in his image" thing. What if he didn't mean in the image of humans, but in the image of life itself. If evolution is real, but God is too, couldn't it be possible he created the first single-celled organism (in his image, alive, made of atoms). After all, they say the chances of life forming on Earth are slim to none. So it could be possible that God started the chain reaction that eventually evolved into us.

He also could of forced evolution into creating intelligent life by manipulating early life (killing the dinosaurs for example). If this is true, the couldn't he of done the same with a lot of the other planets he created? If so, then when or if we discover intelligent aliens, shouldn't we embrace them as Gods' creatures?

I'd even go as far to say that maybe God is an alien that evolved to perfection (then found a way to become pure energy) and decided to create life in his image all over the universe. When early man were told these things, they could easily miss understood since they wouldn't know what DNA was or what "life in his image meant". Once intelligent life forms die, he decides whether your soul/life force is pure enough to become energy. If not you go to hell, which could mean reincarnation since normal life would be hell in comparison.

This is all pure speculation and I don't want to offend anyones beliefs, but it would help tie in science with religion and the paranormal ( aka soul).

Very true, sorry for the generalization. It's just my brother takes the bible so literally I sometimes forget that its open to interpratation. I'm suprised my brother doesn't think everything orbits the Earth and the Earth is flat lol. Seriously.

regardless of religious views, based on how many galaxies we can observe with our current technology, how the universe is always expanding, and that the odds are that somewhere out there in far away galaxies planets capable of supporting life...i say there is life somewhere beyond earth.

It's naive to think we are the only intelligent species....

That's what I think. Really what are the chances of us being alone in the universe. About as likely as a unicorn coming up to me and telling me the child's mine but it's stuck in an interdimensional wormhole so she needs me to get Link and Mario to help save it but we can only save it on a Caturday that also has a blue moon and we need a magical wand from the Hogwarts on Mars' third moon.

I think there are Aliens.
Think of the Big Picture. There Billions of Galaxy's and Billions of Planets in those Billions of Galaxy's
There can not Just be 1 planet that can support life.
There has to be planets in the Habitable zones of the Stars.
This is a Habitable zone example
