pac10 is an overrated bunch too. USC choked at oregon state, but they have been bulldozing every conference game ever since that loss...but still, if youre not playing anyone in your conference thats a top ranked team, then youre not proving anything in the polls.

i agree, the big 12 and the SEC are the biggest, baddest conferences in college football right now. this year is the only year id say the big 12 is more stacked then the SEC. sure the big 12 north is mostly garbage (nebraska, KSU, colorado), but the SEC has some pretty crap teams too (miss st, arkansas, arkansas state, hell, even kentucky)

if tech wins out, which is very possible...OSU and OU are two tough teams, but TTU has a hell of an offense, and their defense is playing great right now. if they can finish out on top of these 2 teams, they finish the season with baylor...

i think the national title game will be a big 12 team and an SEC team regardless...unless somehow penn state sneaks in there. wouldnt take much, a bama or tech loss...
How is Michigan overrated? Nobody expected them to be unstoppable and they ended up sucking. No one expected Michigan to be good so I don't understand how they could be overrated.

i didnt say theyd be unstoppable. i didnt even say theyd be good. the polls in the preseason thought that coming off of the upset of florida in the bowl game, and bringing in rich rodriguez spread offense, people in the big 10 expected a lot of big things from michigan. i believe in the preseason, michigan was ranked 24 in the AP polls.

theyre absolute garbage...in fact, i think penn state is overrated..they BARELY beat OSU, and OSU is the most overrated team coming in every year.

illinois was expected to do a lot of big things this season too...they havent. as much as i like juice williams and co., nothing is gonna change the fact that illinois sucks.

who else is in the big 10 that OSU and PSU get to beat up just to make their W-L columns look good?

purdue
minnesota
indiana (LOL!)
northwestern
purdue
iowa
wisconsin

yep...the big 10 powerhouse teams (PSU and OSU) are the most overrated teams in college football.

you might not think theyre overrated, hell you might even think they suck just as much as i do...but that doesnt matter. the BCS is what matters, and its pathetic.

Hell yeah there should be.

USC gets screwed over every year because of a weak conference.

USC could own any team easily.

except Oregon State...Stanford...Texas...Arizona State....all teams they've lost to over the past few years which has kept them out of the National Championship...they haven't been screwed at all...they actually lost to Texas in the NC...

don't give me that crap that they get screwed every year...beat the teams you're supposed to beat and don't have the let downs...then maybe the BCS won't "screw" you over...

you do make a good point hombre.

but if you DO happen to be in a weak conference, one game can really screw you out of the national title. so basically, the BCS is built around the system that "every game matters".

penn state is a GREAT example right now.

and i think anyone would agree with me that USC would probably punish penn state...

haha nice call on iowa today hombre. that was hilarious.
