meh...they go down the same road every time, and frankly it gets old...although it can be amazingly entertaining at points.

I honestly am not sure if there is a God or not, ok let me rephrase that, I think that there is an Energy (whether it can manifest into the physical or not that I don't know) but I have had things happen that honestly required a miracle from God to happen that makes me believe in something/someone being out there (My daughter surving being one of the major things, most of you remember that whole ordeal and the pics of her)...From being told by the Dr's that the only option they can do is remove her breathing tube and hope for a miracle for her to survive the night to her being healthy and having ZERO problems today...that alone makes me believe in more then just "random luck"...

some people say if there is a God then he.she is sick for letting people die...

this is my theory on that... Keyword in that sentence is "MY theory"...I think that everyone that is born is in a "Black book" for lack of a better word that God has and in that book next to everyone's name are two dates, one is the day they are born and the other is the day they are set to die... when their death day comes they die, that's part of the free will that God gave us, I know you are going to say that Noone will willingly choose death for free will, but God also isn't going to say "well you're a ****ing idiot so you're going to die regardless"... when we are born it's kind of an accepted fact that we will all die one day, so that is where the free will comes into play...you accept you will die one day, hopefully it's when you're 90 instead of 2 but it happens... I'm not all high an dmighty and I don't try to tell everyone who walks by that God is Great or that he even exists I have my doubts sometimes like any normal person who blindly believes in something they can't see, touch, or smell...

But I'm also a realist and just like I can't "Prove" to you that thier is a God... you can't "Prove" to me that thier isn't... all I know is like I stated before, SOMETHING or SOMEONE saved my daughter's life and it wasn't a Human Dr. or a piece of machinery...so I believe in Something being out there...
I wish more people were so open about their belief in God like you are.

Just to throw it out there, it could have been an extraterrestrial, inter-dimensional being, or even a time traveler that saved your daughter (you from the future!). :P

If anyone could prove that God does or doesn't exist that would be wonderful in my book. I look at it this way. Humans started off knowing little to nothing about the universe around them, so they basically told themselves that everything was controlled by "God", "Mother Earth" or "the Great Spirit" ect.
But, as science has progressed, we've discovered that all of these mysterious things have natural explanations. So even though we still don't know all that much about the universe, I'm almost 100% that everything has a natural explanation.

Basically I see God as a metaphor for the unknown. But unlike some, I could care less what you believe as long as you don't blindly follow it and still use your head from time to time.

It may sound good, but that could lead to so much uproar, civil unrest, and potential mass suicide. Think of all of those extremely religious people that go to church all of the time, believe heavily in God, and follow the bible. They would be distraught and question everything that they have lived for. Honestly, that could turn very, very bad.

had to post that, lol

and i honestly don't see how finally discovering the truth behind gods existence would cause mass suicide...sure, it could cause an uproar, but galileo caused a stir when he suggested the earth rotates around the sun, and not vice versa...lol.

I agree it could've been an alien, or a time traveler or whatever saved my daughter... liek I stated all I do know is NO HUMAN Doctor nor any piece of machinery saved her...SOMETHING else did..waht or who that something is I don't know, but it saved her so that's my God...if there really isn't a God then i'm Believing in this "entity" that saved my daughter and since I don't know what that is it's God to me... so "God" saved my daughter in my eyes
