"Red SCREEN of Death"???

My little brother went to go turn on our Playstation 3 this morning and the "Sony Computer Entertainment" message popped up. Then, he was greeted with this big, red screen that said "A serious error has occurred. Please contact SONY technical support". It said this in many languages.

Is this the same thing as the RROD? What can I do about it? Is this common?

Ouch looks like sony's little world isn't perfect after all.

I don't know on this one. I would contact Sony Tech Support for it.

Okay, no worries guys. I left the system off for about fifteen to twenty minutes and then turned it on again. It's fine now, my little bro is downstairs playing the Bioshock demo.

This had never happened to me before so I didn't know what to expect.
