PlayStation 3 sales pass 100,000 In Australia

Sony has announced that sales of the PlayStation 3 have passed 100,000 in Australia. This means the 100,000 milestone has been reached in a faster time period than the PlayStation 2.

The PlayStation 3 sales were obviously helped along by the recent price drop, which saw the 40GB PlayStation 3 launch for $699.95. The new 40GB PlayStation 3 cannot play PlayStation 2 games, but is similar to the previous PlayStation 3 console released.

If only for MGS4, Final Fantasy, and Kingdom Hearts 3 (no news but it's obvious).

LOL you gotta love the PS3 fanboys...thier system outsold the Wii for one week...not a month but a WEEK..and they are all over it like the Wii hasn't sold 14 million MORE consoles worldwide then the PS3 has... I love fanboys

Todd I gotta ask you this. Are you that much of a diehard of a video game fan that this really matters? Does it really matter that knowing that your life is revolving around video games? Does the 8 to 10 hours a day spent on them worth it? How does it improve the way of life? Sure they can be fun. But after thousands of hours of your life wasted on them? Does it have you saying Man I want to do that again. OR Man I wish I had some money. Video games are fun. But don't let them command your life. You are around Video Games 24/7 either at home or at your job.

I suggest the argument stops. Rethink of what you are saying man. It is not worth that much of your life.
