Brent Uberty, you can downgrade anything from 3.03 and lower, but you may have to upgrade to a different firmware and/or use the unpatched version of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. If you have this game, goto the Game section of the XMB (the PSP's menu) with the UMD inserted, go to the UMD Firmware Update thing, and if it is the unpatched version, it will say "PSP Update Ver. 2.00", NOT 2.60.

I think sony "hot fixed" so now all versions are protected agianst home brew. For people who are buying new and still updating.

i never really got into homebrew when i had my psp but i did get the hacks for GTA, lol they were awesome! then i upgraded my psp. its gone now but i might buy a new one to go with my ps3

1.5 or 2.0 are optimal I think
And look for devhook if you want to play newer games.
It lets you load the current firmware version temporarily.
There is even custom firmware now.
If downgrading or downdating whatever, read tutorials completely and don't do it if you have a question.

Well their is no reason to do that....Just use DarkAlex's Custom Firmware.
They let you play the latest game and also Play homebrew

I bricked my PSP downgrading it the 4th time..........I all about homebrew I like know it all about it haha. Well...I pulling a walmart trick if anyone dosent know what it is I will explain if you ask.
