I am not sure if games on the old old home computers count like the Amstrad, BBC and ZX Spectrum.
Aside from the TV games like Pong my first video game experiences were Pyjamarama, Jet Set Willy and Manic Miner on the Spectrum. On the games consoles I remember inserting a tine credit card sized game into the Sega Master System to play Alex Kidd. |

when i was little my dad would play eye of the beholder, doom or duke nukem on the computer and i got to help him, which usually involved just watching, although sometimes i got to press the shoot button.
the first game i played entirely on my own was probably pokemon blue, but i was a stupid kid and i had to get my dad or my brother to help me out on mount moon and the other cave.
