Signature pictures compressed?

When I upload my sig picture, it turns out blurry. I was wondering why you guys compress these images? They are so small to begin with, that compressing them further seems unnecessary. My recommendation is to leave the images alone, unless they are over a certain filesize. I mean, who doesn't have fast internet now right? The 56K days are pretty much over right?

Also, how do I post a Sig picture that is a url? It says no BB code or whatever. For example, I wanted ...

Put photo in Photobucket, Image code...Copy it and paste in sig...That simple.

We don't compress them. If you go through another site other than Photobucket, they may have different compression rates, but as a general rule, it's better to stick with Photobucket. It definitely has the best quality of them all.

Well I download the picture to my computer, and it looks fine there. But when I Upload the picture to Wiispace, it blurs it a bit. I'll show you..

Below is the linked version straight from the site using (IMG /IMG).

Yeah don't upload it from your computer. Get the img code from photobucket and paste it in the top box.

Take the URL codes off and replace with IMG. You don't have to upload it to Wiispace to put it in your sig.

Seriously, if you just type

it not only has better quality, but also I assume it automatically updates? That's what my Xfire banner down in my sig does.

Well, I am actually a noob when it comes to sigs.. I haven't really made very many, and my work blocks most sites including photobucket so I haven't messed around with it. (Notice I still have no Avatar .. someday )

Any, thanks a lot for the help, I will work on just using the IMG thing.. but if I remember, the signature said no BB coding etc.. I'll try again.

There you go, I see you got it fixed. IMG codes have to be allowed in sigs, that's how pictures are expressed on this forum.
