Prankster Comets?

What's the deal with these? They appear rarely and you can pay practically nothing to move them. Is there any way to get them to appear more often? I want to try all the combinations already.

You need them to get more stars. Im not sure about this, but Im pretty sure each prankster comet will only visit a planet until you have that comet's star at that planet. That way its easier to get them all. I haven't read this anywhere, Ive just never seen one in the same place twice.

No, the only way to make them appear more often is to go to the purple Luma and give him more star bits. Also, there's only 1 prankster comet per 'sub-galaxy' meaning if you race cosmic mario in one galaxy, that's all you get for pransksters. If you go through each sub galaxy (or planet group) and get the standard 3 stars, the prankster comet will usually appear soon after getting the 3 so you can pick them up fairly easily. I have yet to see a prankster comet re-appear after getting the star.

It shouldn't reappear after you get the star because after you get it, you can go back and select it before you start the galaxy. That way you don't have to pay 20 star bits to the Luma.

Yeah, I can tell that getting all of those is going to be a heck of an annoying task. As soon as I get off the forum today its gonna be back to galaxy again. I've been slacking the last few days, only have 78 stars.

Yeah, it really is. But the Luma only moves the comet to a galaxy where you don't have the comet's star so that does save some time.

yeah, that way you wont have to sit and wait for 10 hours randomly moving the comets over and over and over to get that 1 last star, kind of thing.
