ok, so I remember playing Mario 64 back in the day and it was really hard, took me like a year to get all 120. Then when I played 64 on VC I was rolling through the stars at a rediculas pace. On Galaxy I died maybe 5 times before attempting the purple comet stars. I found this game to be extremely easy untill the purple comet and I hate that. Do you think they could make the next Mario alot harder or am I the minority? I had the same problem with Twilight Princess, Maybe they could start having difficulty levels for adventure and platform games like they do in FPS. I definately dont like it in Zelda that the heart icons are divided into 1/4s, makes it way too hard to die. Anyways, anyone else out there wish it were harder?

I still think it would have been better if it were harder.
Imagine, if this was 1998, all we would have is Super Mario World and we would STILL be working on it because it was freakin hard. Nowadays, your number of lives doesnt even mean anything anymore. It just kicks out out of the level and gives you 5 more lives.

And ya cant keep the 5 ups when ya save on mario galaxy. If ya play for a long time it can build up, but not if ya quit.

Yes, but in Galaxy it didnt MATTER.
In the original Mario, GAME OVER meant just that. It means that you have died, bowser is victorious, and if you want to win, you have to reset the system and start all over again. Now that games are expected to be long, they had to include saving, and with saving included, people expect to be able to start after the beginning of every single game they play. I understand that Arcade Style games should be fewer in number, but darnit, losing just doesn't mean anything anymore.
