Hi

When totally board and fed up I still get the SNES out of semi-retirement and play Super Mario World. For its day (and even today) it is a fantastic game. In fact playing though surround sound still sends the chills up my spine when entering a castle. I remember the elation to this day when finally finding that elusive 96th level..........

Can you also remember laughing at the koopas having Marios face after completing Star Land ;-)

It still is a challenge to play the later levels of the game (especially star road) however maybe someone can tell me that why after hours of troubles and strife getting to Bowser was he so very easy to kill.

Have Fun

Oooh. So many memories. My very first video game. I got it for Christmas back hwen I still believed in Santa Claus. Me and my dad played for hours until my mom threw a fit.

Yeah, I loved that game. I still have it, although I never play it any more. I always thought the koopas with Mario faces was kind of lame because I'm thinking "Omg, I just spent all the time doing this just to unlock that!" But then you must consider it's an old game, and most games of that time didn't have the unlockables and extra features like games these days.

Anyways, it's still an awesome game. The graphics and sounds are great, and the gameplay is spectacular. I loved the item system especially, and wish it was used in all Mario games. NSMB had a similar system, but it wasn't nearly as good.

Yeah i love it, I still get my SNES out some days when i'm bored and can't be bothored to handle the concentration of full 3D games! Super Mario World is still a great game to play, and entering a castle still has a great effect same as it did back in the day! Show's how right Nintendo got it I guess.
