Meta Knight misconceptions

I did some research and looked at some FAQ's to expand my character use and I found some misconceptions about Meta Knight.

1. He is doesn't have good KO moves/techniques

Opinion: At lower damage % his moves don't have a lot of lift to them, but even when the enemy is in good shape he could easily gimp them off the side of the stage. Therefore, Meta Knight is a killer in the hands of the right player.

2. He gets KO'd easily.

Opinion: While Meta Knight is a light character he makes up for it by being extremely manuverable. Someone like Ike could knock him straight out even with virtually no damage at all, but that is the case for many characters.

3. His tornado move is cheap.

Opinion: His tornado move is a high priority special, meaning not many other specials or attacks could break it. It doesn't do that much damage and can easily be dodged by a seasoned player.

4. He is predictable.

Opinion: Any character could be predictable. Any character can be unpredictable. It all depends on the player IMO. If you do the same moves over and over again, you will be predictable. If you use every move, even the ones you don't like, you will be unpredictable. To say any one character is unpredictable doesn't make sense to me.

I'm not some Meta Knight fanboy who got all upset over someone dissing Meta Knight. He is just a character I have a lot of interest in, and I saw a lot of negative things about him when I think he is actually a pretty high tier fighter.

I like Meta Knight
He's kinda a challeneg to use, you really have to be carefull with some moves and get down the ones that count.
But I think he's a great new addition and people who complain about that stuff should give him more of a shot.

i think meta knight is awesome. he lacks KO power on the ground for sure, but his arsenal of smash attacks and b attacks rack up damage fast...you just have to be on ur toes when using meta knight. if youre unexperienced with him facing a veteran player, then yeah, ur gonna get owned no matter what.

Idk I've never lost to someone using meta knight but teh way I fight yet again he doesn't Rly Hurt mr Ike.

Therefore Ike is superior to Meta Knight in the right hands of one named Chouy or someone else who is good with Ike, whatever IDK.

Umm... first off... tiers don't exist. 'Low Tier' characters just take more skill to play, so the noobs make tiers to put the characters they can noob it up with on top. Also, meta knight has PLENTY of good knockouts, you just have to know his moveset well. The tornado isn't cheap, its actually pretty amazing. All attacks are easy to dodge, but its a way to get close to your enemy without any major risks involved. NO character is predictable. They all have morethan 15 moves, so unless you know them all by heart, you'll have a somewhat hard time seeing what they're doing. Any skilled player uses ALL the moves, not the ones he 'likes.'
