That extra level that I can't seem to reach...SSB leveling?

This is all my in-game basis:

I find that there are 5 levels in SSB.

Level:

1->Totallu sucks...his first time playing any SSB.
2->Has in game-basis from other SSB, but its his first time playing the game...(Like I've played SSBM but never SSBB, so its my first time playing SSBB, but I've played SSB before...)
3->You have played all games...but now you're playing SSBB and your new to the idea of Air Dodging multiple times...the stages and items.

Now this is when you're more hardcore.

(I'm currently here I think)
4->You know every in game thing. Character moves,items, stages...You can mainly pick any character even if its not your main can play realy hardcore.

Out of the ordinary level

5->You don't have to chain Grab to win...you don't need a broken character to win, you just mainly know how to trick your opponent and owning him even if knows how to play, knows the character moves...you just can read his attacks and patterns.

That's Wiifro's level...

The broken level

When you use broken charcters like Snake...MetaKnight,Falco's infinite grab...

You can't even let the person move...->This level = sucks ass. Since you need one attack just to get an opponent to 50%...used in Tourneys.


If you have a main...you usually are in the same level always...4. Since there's a point when you can't get any better with that character...Level 5 is like extra ordinary...

Well to gain more in brawl game...you need to:

Know all character attacks, so you can learn their weakness...

That's more or less IMO on where you stand in SSBB and how to get better if you learn to read moves.

im thinking that im at lvl 3, idc for the game that much anymore so i dont care for trying anymore, it has become boring, i want more characters dag nab it! dont u?

lol don't understand whether your asking a question or stating a point but anyways

every character also has there own advanced methods which one can use to gain an advantage
pikachu has his QaC where you can use your up B and instantly change it into any attack of your choosing if done correctly

pretty much keep practicing and get used to all your opponent moves and keep practing in dodging, simple said :P

The title is more to catch the Users Eye...I'm really just stating my opinion on how we gain "levels" when we brawl...

I vote myself as a level 3. I doubt I'd ever attain something like a level 4 status, if I even cared about it to begin with.

I could be at least level 3-i'm good(or at least decent)with most of the characters, but i only play competively with a few of my main ones. Plus i just want to stick with the ones i know how to play with and not bother to learn about the other ones...

I would say iam about 4 and a half. I was a 4 when all I had was ike but now I can blast people with almost anyone I think iam almost a 5

The only way to gain what you call levels in Brawl is to actively and extensively play skillful people in real life. Now I know that I'm in no way the best person on this site when it comes to online play, but I'm almost positive I can hold my own at the top in real-moment matches. Whether you like it or not, lag is always present online. Your attacks will always be that couple frames behind, that button lag will always take that half second or more. Also, unfortunately, you will constantly have to adjust your playstyle from playing as if right next to your opponent to adjusting your timing and such to the conditions online. Even if someone is absolutely amazing and oh-my-god online, it doesn't necessarily mean that they hold that same level of play in real life.

I guess what I'm trying to say is this: You may be a level three online, but you're probably more or less than that when it comes to your absolute methods. By the way you've described level five, Reizo, between in-person mindgames, not having to adjust online, pressures of a tournament, etc., you couldn't totally achieve that level online. You could increase your skill over time, sure, but it wouldn't nearly be the same.

I think I'm level 4.5 Cause wiifro beats me, but I still give him a moderate challenge. There should be a level -5 for people who spam like crap >_< I hate when people spam these: Falco's gun, Ness' or lucas' up B and hit themselves to launch themselves at u, and DDD's waddle dees. I know ur guilty of that Reizo, although when u do it I wouldn't call it spam, more like strategy. I'm not sure y but when u do it, it's not spam, but still REALLY frustrating.

3.75 is my level. Give me a Toon Link, put me against a Snake or Metaknight with only small amounts of input lag, and I can take him. Even playing as Captain Falcon sometimes.
But I do not know all of everyone's attacks. I play alright, but sometimes I pull out a move that I have never seen before and then I lose.
