Super Mario Kart!

Hey does anyone know if Super Mario Kart is on the virtual console, or when it is going to be released. This is my favorite game of all time, and a sweet online mode for this game would just rock my world. I would cry if they didn't make it online.

I'm sure that they will not since all VC games are only in their original release form. Super Mario Kart is my favorite of the series, and my favorite racing game along with Mario Kart DS.
