I'm mentioning this, because I think it's far more likely that we'll receive the original Turbographx Bomberman rather than the original NES Bomberman. Personally, I'd be more interested in seeing NES Bomberman II come for VC. That's one version of Bomberman that I've never played. |

yeah, I'm not expecting (nor would I want) all of these to be released back-to-back, but if Nintendo threw one of these in on the Monday releases every now and then, the Wii would remain a fresh gaming system for a long time. (Yes, I know its weird to relate the re-releasing of old games to freshness, but these games bring back such great memories that I'd love to relive).
On with my list! NES: -original Metal Gear (probably never will happen) -Golgo 13 -Rambo (maybe when Part 4 comes out? yeah, probably not) -Duck Hunt (what a great time waster that would be with the Zapper) -Kid Icarus -TMNT the Arcade Game (the original was SO bad) -Donkey Kong 3 (might not have ever been released on a home console, but it featured Mario protecting a greenhouse from bees and Kong. I loved it in the arcades.) -Rush 'n Attack (or: Russian Attack) -Lifeforce -Anything Castlevania related (yes, even part 2) -Ikari Warriors SNES: -Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Story (maybe my favorite game of all time) -Earthworm Jim (maybe my 2nd favorite game of all time) -Killer Instinct (better than it had any right to be on the SNES) -Super Tecmo Bowl (real teams and players and an actual season) -NCAA Basketball (revolutionary B-Ball game that was overshadowed by EA's offerings) -Mortal Kombat 2 (1 was neutered on SNES, but maybe the Genesis version?) -NBA Jam -Earthbound -Super Return of the Jedi -Castlevania: Dracula X -Starfox (just salivating at the thought of playing this again) -Super Mario RPG (last hurrah of Square and Nintendo) -Super Punch Out (well, we have the first one) -TMNT: Turtles in Time N64: -Any one or more of the following: WCW Revenge; WWF Wrestlemania 2000; WWF No Mercy (best wrestling games ever. Hours of my time would be wasted with any one of these titles. -Perfect Dark (questionable due to Microsoft owning Rare now) -Goldeneye (defined the console) -Donkey Kong 64 -Star Wars Racer -Mario Golf (I liked this better than the Gamecube version) Genesis: I was never a huge fan of this system and most of what I like are already on VC (Sonic, Altered Beast, Golden Axe). That said: -Shinobi (original one) -Rolling Thunder -Any Phantasy Star TG 16: Nothing. Did anyone even own this system? Neo Geo: -Samurai Shodown (it was a fighting game system) I would love for Dreamcast and Saturn games to come to VC as well, but who knows if that's even possible. I also wish, once the Wii has been out for a couple more years and assuming it continues to gain a user base, that Nintendo will find a way to get some of the overlooked Gamecube games into the hands of Wii owners. PS2 and X-Box blew the Cube out of the water and lots of us (me included) missed great games like Eternal Darkness, Beyond Good and Evil (original Cube game before other platforms, I think), Donkey Konga, the first 2 Metroid Primes, etc. |
