New Wii game engine promises PS3 visuals

yea, the wii has a couple of drives its not tapping into yet, but i heard that the ps3 is using like one eighth of its power or sumthing.

Yeah, I heard that games so far use 25% of the PS3's power. The same games use 90% of the X-Box 360's power. I also heard that Final Fantisy XIII will use 60% of the PS3's power. I'm not certain, but I heard it from someone.

i dont really mind the wii's graphics.I have a xbox 360 as well and instead of playing gta4 im mostly playing ssbb its more about the gameplay han the graphics to me. But if this works oout it will be really good

If the graphic's were better, wouldn't the memory take up more space on the wii console -_-

I applaud them for their achievements, but quite frankly, I do not quite know what to think of it. Once the engine gets out there and falls in the hand of many other devs (along with Nintendo, hopefully?) where will be setting our standards? When they claim that the graphics are on par with that of the PS3's and 360s, from what we've seen so far, its all unfounded ridiculous hype. When the Conduit will be coming out, should we really be expecting a GoW2, visuals-wise?

I'd honestly much rather have them working on good games which retain a cartoonish (smg, ssbb) or at least somewhat fantastic (tp, mp) atmosphere than trying to come up with the next me-too mimic. Anyways, we'll see how it goes~

Brawl had cartoony graphics, and thats what we got hyped up for right?
What really brings a game together is the gameplay, and music, now you may not agree with music, but the music in a game is extremely important, imagine playing Delfino plaza with Resident evil music : O

Yeah FFXIII will use about that im not sure the exact amount but I know its the highest yet. I have a Wii and Xbox 360 but now I NEED a Ps3 for FFXIII
