Anascape to sue Nintendo and Microsoft

Anascape Ltd. has just recently claimed that Nintendo and Microsoft have both infringed on Sony's patents for various controller designs. The thing is, it is not just for one supposed infringement, but 12 different ones! We've come up with a list that's a little on the techy side, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem:

#6,563,415 "Analog Sensor with Snap Through Tactile Feedback"
#6,906,700 "3D Controller with Vibration"

After Immersion cashed in on the case against Sony on their infringments on 8 different patents, netting over 90 Million, another lawfirm is following suit, though this time it is not against Sony. It looks like after the success of Immersion's lawsuit, others are looking to make a quick buck the same way.It seems that the video game industry has now become so competitive some companies have to go to court instead of just making something better to offer the consumer - at least that's how it's looking these days, more and more.

Wow! Is Sony really that scared of failing up against the Microsoft and Nintendo? They could've really picked any time to start these lawsuits. After what happend with Immersion all I hear is them crying to mommy.
Also no word on which infringements apply to which of the 2 companies.

nintendo suid sony resontly didnt they? so i think this is fine and is just a way to get money that doesnt realy hurt one another, i hope nintendo wins tho.

who's the one that removed the rumble to put in a cr@ppy little motion sensor after seeing wii's e3 sucess????

i think this is sony's way to mayb make some money since ps3 isn't gonna sell

Is it just me, or is sony getting really, really cheap all of a sudden?

First, they anounce that the ps3 controller will be copying the wii's with a motion sensor, now accusing poor nintendo and microsoft for stealing their patents?

Now i'm so enraged at sony that i really hope the ps3 flops big time.
What's wrong with sony.
It's the second most valuable game company out there.
Why is it stealing other peoples' ideas and then suing them?

Sony had to license the technology for their controller from a third party.
They didnt even create it. How in the world can they think of suing Nintendo?
