looks like nintendo will be re-releasing wiis with dvd playback instead of making an add-on...

Yer it certainly sucks, but maybe like 6 months or so after they release the Wiis with dvd playback they will release an add on for us people who already have Wiis. It would make sense considering how many people have Wiis now and how many people will have Wiis by the time the re-release it.

I don't understand what you mean by adding an add-on, The Wii already has a DVD drive in it, all we probably need is a new Wii Channel that has the code so that the wii will read it as a DVD movie and play it.

Wow if you guys actually believe this you're a sad bunch of people. Theres no Nintendo representative in there at all with a noteworthy name or title. Just some email that any average kid could have made up. Until Nintendo actually says something on its OWN website all of this is just rumors. Idiotic ones at that made to scare everyone. Yes Nintendo did do something similiar with the DS but tht wasn't a completely radical change. We're talking about a DVD player. I highly doubt Nintendo would do something like that to the millions of people hwo already bought Wiis
