Nintendo May Pull Commercials Due To Demand

Apparently Nintendo is even putting a stop to television advertising for the Wii for a while due to problems meeting demand. That is the case in the UK at lease according to BBC News: It said that holding back adverts until to 2008 would be a “responsible” move. It now expects to have sold 17.5 million of the consoles worldwide in the year to March 2008 - up from the 14 million it had earlier forecast. Nintendo is likely to use its advertising slots to promote its handheld DS console, analysts say. I have not heard if they plan to pull commercials in North America or anywhere else, but I know the demand is just the same over here.

Wow, I figured they'd have pulled the commercials due to the fact that they're kinda nasty sounding... "Wii would like to play" lol. Anyways, I haven't watched TV in a few days, so I don't know if they pulled here or not.

I see VERY few GH commercials anyway..... but he said they plan on pulling them because they can't meet demand, meaning they don't want to sell as many as they originally wanted to.

and you might be right, Bega..... though, I don't think they pulled the commercials out of the US yet.
