The active-play phenomenon started by Wii Sports now spreads to your whole body thanks to the pressure-sensitive Wii Balance Board (name not final), which comes packed with Wii Fit.

The board is used for an extensive array of fun and dynamic activities, including aerobics, yoga, muscle stretches and games. Many of these activities focus towards providing a “core” workout, a popular exercise method that emphasizes slower, controlled motions.

Family members will have fun staying active and comparing their results and progress on a new channel on the Wii Menu.

im still suprised we dont have a date on this game. as for buying it, im a lil split. img unna have to wait and see what other games will use the balance board before deciding to buy it.

I might be interested, but I'm iffy about the board. It might take up too much space in my living room, but then and again, it is small.

Can't wait for this to be released, definitely gonna buy it. As for pricing on it.... a couple websites did have pre-orders available in the past, but then took them away, perhaps a mistake on their part for taking orders too early. The pricing was at $69.99 for both websites, which falls in line with the Japanese price when you convert it to U.S. currency. Hopefully the price sticks and doesn't go higher, though I've read some articles where people think it will be a bit higher. Haven't seen an actual announcement but only date I've heard at all so far is May 20 for a release date.

BTW, sales in Japan for the Wii Fit have exceeded 1 million units and word is Nintendo may be making an announcement about the Wii Fit pricing and release date for the U.S. as well as other things during the 2008 Game Developers Conference which takes place Feb 18-22.
