nintendo said we don't have to pay for online gaming, and if they don't keep that promise, i'm gunna be pissed.

Guys it's not even bad. I'd want to pay for online instead of playing with crappy friend codes and junk like that. I think it's a smart decision. Nintendo might be finally getting serious about this online thing. Maybe a headset.

sparty u have no proof that nintendo will change freind codes? what if they never add headsets?


also i think this was a bad idea...if u give soemthing away for free then all of a sudden start charging for ti ppl will be mad

I haven't even used Wi-Fi yet... If they charge for it, that would be stupid. Besides, they can't make us pay if they already have the wireless connection chip built in and we have wireless routers. Or maybe they're going to make Wii Internet available without needing anything, that you could simply connect to it via the Wii, but still keep the option to connect to another device (like a wireless router) for free.

No duh I don't have proof. I said I would want. And I'm pretty sure you know what "maybe" means. It's not like they would charge 15$ a month for it. Probably less then 5$ a month which isn't a lot.

maybe, but that's about 60$ a year...its like buying a Wii game but only to play online

If you do the math, that would cost 60$ a year (same as Xbox Live). That seems like a waste of money considering that only certain games will have this feature, and even if they did include a headset, you'd still have to pay for that.

I was thinking the samething so I said less. But if it starts to catch on probably alot of companies would start using it. But I agree with you guys that I wouldn't want to pay for the full cost of online gaming when some games don't need it. A year is a long time. Once you would by a full year of it you would understand.

well after thinking about this, i realized its a good thing....your gonna be paying for new things...obviously we will have to wait and see what those are but your gonna be able to have your free online the way it is now...sure you might be limited in the games you can play but everyone has been complaining how bad the online play for wii is and this is just what we need....of course it could turn out ****ty.... but only time will tell
