I'm not going to attack them just yet, but if they're going to charge me monthly for the service, I hope we get something out of it other than what we're getting right now. Because if the service is identical to what people are getting for free right now, then it is a stupid move.

I wouldn't mind paying something like a registry fee, so that there's a number somewhere on the game that you could submit and pay a one-time fee and have unlimited Internet for that game. Maybe you could create an account with your Wii #, login on the Internet, and pay the fee after having submitted the number on the game. Then it would be registered to your Wii.

Well if paying a fee means better online service from Nintendo ie voice chat, no friend codes, and downloadable content. Then I wouldn't mind having to pay some sort of fee.

Exactly, but if they offer identical service to what we're getting, but tack a fee on it, then it's stupid.

I have to say, when i posted something like this, i thought that we would have to pay monthly. But paying like 5$ extra would be so worth it. And there could be a headset! Man, i was so negative! I might link this thread on my Wii Pay and Play.

Oh, if it's just something like 5 bucks, then I'm fine. It's a monthly fee with no bonus features that would tick me off.>.>

i totally agree that this is a smart move.

i think if they make it to where you have to pay, the online experience will be better. just look at xbox live. i hardly ever get disconnected or get lag time in games...whereas to the wii, i get disconnected constantly, and some games get massive lag spikes...if you play strikers charged, you know exactly what i mean by lag spikes.

however, when this does happen, they better include a headset...and abolish the friend code system, or at least have it to where you can add buddies without typing in their fc, and they have to accept the request.

so yeah, im lookin forward to it.
